Subtlety is also used to balance these raw rhythms.One scene is focused around performers tapping six foot poles, as they stealthily circle the stage, nearly preying on one another with their moves and rhythms. Their sense of interconnection is palpable and sensual, cast eye contact igniting the expectation, as you nearly discover yourself questioning who is going to ‘win’ at this musical game. Yet, everybody wins, the audience even asked into the overall performance through a cast member who initiates a clap-and-response session. Around two hours in duration, STOMP keeps one’s attention, making you wonder how items usually reserved for math problems, cleaning, and construction projects can entertain and produce a powerful musical group dynamic. DJ Set to Return to BBC Radio this Year

DJ Andy Kershaw is to come back to BBC radio with a new music series that is connected to BBC One show Human Planet. He will be able to host Music Planet, which BBC Radio three calls its “most significant and formidable world music project ever”. Kershaw and co-presenter Lucy Duran will travel around the globe to record “unusual music” in “isolated locations” visited by the BBC One show. The BBC is committed to playing free music on its various stations and have been at the forefront of radio for over 100 years.

The presenter had been offline for 2 years, after a collection of well-documented private issues. These culminated in the DJ being locked up in 2008 for breaking a restraining order which banned him from seeing Juliette Banner – the mummy of his 2 kids. Human Planet is described by the BBC as a “landmark natural history series”, filmed in about eighty locations and exploring “man’s extraordinary ingenuity and success as a species”. Belvoir Castle will be having a Fireworks show on Saturday With a grand back drop to set things away..
For the second year in a go MLE Pyrotechnics is having the event in the premise of the Duke of Rutland’s family house this will be judged by the crowds.

Vanessa one of the organisers, said: “It’s a genuinely swell place to be having such a evening. The fireworks mirror as if by magic in the water as they are set off from behind the lake.”

Visitors will be treated to several companies from across the land competing for that extra wow factor to win over the audience’s voting.

The firms are Celebration Fireworks from Evesham, Pyromania Displays, Knaphill in Surrey and Spyrotechnics from Chesterfield with all putting on a 10 to 15 minute display to music. But the extravaganza doesn’t finish on that point.

The different types of fireworks will be demo’d before the competition and see how fantastic presentations that pulse to the music can be made by the team

and to round it of a exciting pyro-musical demo by the promoters will be done while the visitors are voting

The annual event, which began in 2002, has seen striking success. Such important titles as British Champions, British Musical Champions and Fireworks Champions has been won by the three lead professional firework companies
